Opt-Out & Intent Information

Spring & Summer Sessions

It is a simple process for Spring and/or Summer, you fill out a form for each swimmer that tells us which session(s) they are opting out of, and you're done. Use the link located above.

If you are continuing on with the next session you do not need to do anything, you will be automatically enrolled.



2027 - 28 Season 


This will be a two-step process:


  1. You will fill out an intent form, either you intend to return or you don't. This will give the staff a better starting point for group placement, allow us to make any necessary programming changes and know which groups will be able to take new swimmers and how many. The link to the form is located above.
  2. Next, we will publish the group placements for the upcoming after which you will be your final opportunity to opt out of the 2026 - 27 season.


At this stage, you will only need to fill out a form if you intend not to return, otherwise you will automatically be registered for the 2026 - 27 Season.

Important Dates

  • Spring Opt-Out Deadline | March 1, 2027
  • Summer Opt-Out Deadline | May 1, 2027
  • 2027 - 28 Season Intent | June 1, 2027
  • 2027 - 28 Season Opt Out | July 15, 2027


Notes

  • Opting out of Spring and/or Summer does not opt you out of the 2027 - 28 season, you will do that separately.
  • You can opt out of the Spring Session and return the Summer session
  • You can swim in NSEA Swim Spring and Summer meets

FAQ

  • If we plan to swim in upcoming season what do we need to do?

    Nothing, your swimmer / swimmers automatically be rolled into the upcoming season.

  • We opted out of Spring and/or Summer, do we still need to opt out of the upcoming Season?

    Yes, those were session opt outs related to the current Season, this is for the upcoming Season

  • We told or emailed you our child wasn't returning for the upcoming season, do we still need to fill out the Opt-Out Form?

    YES! The form is the papertail that helps keep everything straight.

  • We filled out the "Intent Form" as "intending NOT to return", do we still need to fill out the Season OPT-Out form?

    YES! The intent form was for planning purposes, the Seaosn OPT-Out Form is confirmation of that intent.

  • If we decided after July 15th that we don't want to particiate in the upcoming Season can we withdrawl?

    Yes, but you will be subject to the terms of the Financial Agreement as it realtes to withdrawals.

  • If we opt-out of the upcoming Season, but later decided we want to return, can we?

    Short answer, yes! 


    Longer answer, if you change your mind prior to July 15, let me know and it will be like you never left. If you change your mind AFTER July 15, you will go through the same general process as a new member and placement will be based on available spots in groups.
